A self abating husk is forcibly coerced into a suicide pact by a “perfect” girl drowning in ennui and despair. The result is unfathomable heart rending terror and confusion. A CRACKED, EMPTY VESSEL. While it struggles clumsily trying to figure out the basic aspects of its identity, its future seems like more of the same, with homelessness looming and no support from family or friends.

Lotus is an overachieving trust fund girl, beloved by those around her, while miserably drowning in boredom and empty relationships. She wants an escape. And she knows about someone who might want it too. And if it doesn’t, that doesn’t matter — She’ll make sure it does. The two become hopelessly entangled as they embark on a morbid road trip to the Cobalt Belt, a gargantuan, anomalous zone where reality is suspended and return is all but impossible. And if that doesn’t kill them, Lotus has a hardware store built IED for guaranteed instant oblivion. Their fates were sealed the moment they met. What freedom and joy can they claw back in the time they have left? How much pain will come with it?
